As a pool owner, it is recommended that every three to five years, you’ll need to change the sand in your swimming pool filter in order to keep it working efficiently.

Over time, sand loses its roughness, which is an attribute that makes it good at the filtration process.

When the sand in your pool becomes smooth, your filtration system will be less effective, which in turn could cause cloudy water or algae to appear in your pool.

Give us a call if you are past due on changing the sand out in your filter or if you are seeing cloudiness in your pool.
Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.) filters should be disassembled and cleaned every 12 months.

D.E. filters are one of the best ways to keep your pool clean and clear, but just like cartridge filters they need maintenance in order to keep them running smooth.

These filters should be backwashed once a month in a edition to the yearly teardown.

We have trained Techs that are experienced with D.E. filters and know how to spot leaks if there be any.
Cartridge filters are not able to be backwashed, therefore need to be disassembled at least every six months to ensure proper filtration and to make sure your pump isn't overloaded, which can cause it to wear faster.

Cleaning a Cartridge filter is a very time consuming task, that we can take care of for you!

When is the last time you cleaned your pool filter? People always come up to me and say "it was like 6 months ago", when really it has been a year. Maintaining your pool filter every 6 months will help it last longer. Cleaning your pool filter is really important! It is the heart of your pool. Cleaning your pool filter will help with cleanliness, clarity, and chemistry.

Has your filter been cleaned in the last 6 months? The manufacture recommends cleaning your cartridge filter every 6 months, D.E. filters once a year if your backwashing it correctly.

Cleaning your filter regularly is the best way to prevent problems with your filter and pool equipment. High pressure on your filter creates a lot of problems with your pool equipment.

You could spend the time, the hour to four hours or so of pulling your filter apart, trying to clean it, figuring out what's wrong with it, what's broken, what's not broken, or you can call us!

We promise we will do our best to make your pool look great. We work hard to make our customers happy.
